Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is one of the most challenging yet maddeningly fun multiplayer games I own. Currently available on the Steam Holiday Sale for $4.99 until 1:00pm EST December 24th, it’s an amazing price for a game that can easily offer 100 hours of enjoyable play time. In a nutshell, Chivalry is a bash and hacker fighting game. The unique aspects to Chivalry is the utterly gruesome ways in which players can be dismembered before, during, and even after a kill, and you fight as knights of the old, with weapons fitting for that general area of mystery. You can play as four different kinds of knights, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, and a wide range of weapons to choose from.
There are a handful of different game modes available to play, from Free For all, to Team Deathmatch, to 1v1 Duels, and more. If you happen to enjoy the game, they even have an enjoyable expansion pack (almost like a separate game really) called Deadliest Warrior, which allows you to play as a multitude of different kinds of renowned fighters from throughout history. The game has come a long way in terms of overall quality, features, and game mechanics functionality since it was released, and as of my most recent foray into it, has performed very well across the board. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is wonderful because it’s a game that can either be taken seriously and provide hundreds of hours of entertainment, or it can just be a silly-fun kind of game that provides raucous laughter with your friends when played on occasion. Either way, for $4.99 I strongly recommend that you pick this game up. And this is an open invitation to play with me if you do buy it, so hit me at @snoov603 for a fun session if you did!
